Cracked wheel solutions DISCLAIMER
All welding & straightening work is undertaken at the owner's own risk.
Whilst we will not do any repairs that we believe to be unsafe, the responsibility is ultimately that of the customer.
Cracks and bends to the face of the wheel can be unrepairable in certain circumstances.
As much as we endeavour to repair every wheel, cracks on the spokes of the wheel are deemed unsafe to fix as its part of the supporting structure of the wheel and we will refuse to weld these particular cracks. Cracked wheel solutions do not offer any warranty on weld repairs.
Please take into consideration that until our technicians have had time to strip and examine your wheel(s), we are unable to give a 100% accurate prognosis.
Once they have, you will receive a telephone call to advise you of any issues that Cracked Wheel Solutions has with continuing the work, if there aren’t any issues we will just continue.
While every care is taken when straightening a wheel, a crack can often occur during the process. If this happens you will also be charged for a weld repair.
If the wheel becomes beyond repair during the process it is not the responsibility of Cracked Wheel Solutions to replace the wheel.
Damaged / Illegal tyres
Cracked Wheel Solutions reserves the right not to re-fit damaged or illegal tyres. Illegal / damaged tyres will only be refitted under the Customer’s express instructions,
The Customer must sign a disclaimer to this effect. We can supply and fit replacement tyres upon request at an additional cost.
Buckled Wheel:
Your wheels will be heated to a workable temperature and placed in a press. While removing the buckle, the clamps holding the wheel in place may damage the wheel face. Cracked Wheel Solutions is not responsible for this issue.
Wheels with a chrome plating finish may discolour due to the method used for straightening.
Welded Wheel:
Your alloy wheel is heated to approximately 150°C, which allows sufficient preheating without overheating the alloy.
Cracked wheel solutions do not guarantee a welded wheel.
If the wheel has been welded before elsewhere and has fractured again, there is a high probability that the crack has been welded over. This would incur additional costs. Please inquire with the technician about this charge.
